With a veritable cornucopia of colors for you to choose from, it’s true that not all of the colors react to use in the same ways. Some colors may require more frequent cleaning to maintain a uniform finish. For instance, darker colors tend to require more attention than lighter colors. Under ordinary use, darker colors will show dust, fingerprints and other daily use more readily than lighter colors.
Shield’s solid surface material is Class 1(A) fire rated and can withstand temperatures up to 225 degrees. However, prolonged or extreme heat can cause yellowing in some colors.
100-percent solid surface construction makes Shield incredibly strong. In our tests, a single solid surface shelf has held more than 200 pounds with minimal bowing over the course of several hours.
